The House Human Services Committee is holding a hearing on Thursday, April 16, “Public Hearing on the Adult Disability Services System in Pennsylvania.” The hearing will be from 10:00 PM to 12:00 PM in Room 60, East Wing of the Capitol.
The purpose of the hearing is to educate lawmakers on the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) and Office of Long-Term Living (OLTL) services systems for adults with disabilities. Perspectives from the Department of Human Services, providers, and consumers and self-advocates will be presented.
Witnesses will include consumers and self-advocates, family members, and independent living advocates. The witness list is set. You can, however, submit written testimony to the Committee if you wish to share your input. Click here for the Committee’s website.
The public is encouraged to attend the hearing to support the witnesses and show the importance of services.
